Facebook’s Developing Stance on Heathenry

Image
I recently created a Facebook profile for myself as Ragnvold Thorson. When I didthis s I transferred downloaded information from my Facebook Public Figure profile and reposted it on my newly created profile. Several of my posts were flagged as “not meeting community standards”. In My appeal to Facebook, I stated that I transferred these posts and that I was unclear why they were flagged. I explained that these same posts were accepted before without issue and that there was no ill intent. About a month later my account was locked without any explanation other than I had violated their community standards. My profile was still visible, and I could read posts and what not, but I could not make posts, comment, like, create or join groups. Effectively the account was useless. A second attempt at an appeal and attempts to comminate with a real person all failed. Facebook had made the decision to silence me based upon an algorithm. Facebook has the right to ban, block, silence, etc., anyone

Let’s talk about Galdrstaves and where they come from and why modern pagan-heathens use them. Is it the symbol itself, or the magic that the user charges it with? Modern runecasters make bind runes, combining multiple runes to make a magically charge symbol. Thus, if these modern galdrstaves are painted by a modern user for their intended purpose why would they not hold magical power? There is no reas

The Self and The Tribe

I decided to write on this topic because of the current situation in the United States where I live. The world is in the mists of a pandemic that is killing millions. The United States is in political and social turmoil where the idea of liberty has been twisted into an idea of action without responsibility for those actions or consequence. Americans are only looking at what they perceive to be infringement on their personal rights rather than the common good of the tribe. The ancestral pagan Germanic tribes held the tribe, the family, as their most important possession. Without the tribe survival would be nearly impossible. For many people today the concept of the tribe and family could not be more different that that of the Ancestors. In our modern world we send eighteen or so years living in a home with our parents and maybe a sibling or two before venturing out into the world on our own. Obviously, this experience varies from person to person, but most people reaching adulthood (18
